Registration Of Unemployed Citizens: What You Need To Know.

As promised, the Federal Government on-line portal for registration of unemployed citizens is now live and running. But beyond some few grammatical blunders that welcome you on the portal www.jobsforall.ng,  there are certain things you need to get ready before proceeding to register your details.
The registration process is divided into four parts:
1. Personal details;
2. Account (e-mail) information;
3. Education background; and
4. Employment (unemployment history).
Documents required to be uploaded are:
a. Recent passport photograph (jpg format)
b. Means of identification (scanned copy of any of International passport, National ID card, Driver License Voter Card or School Identification Card)
c. Curriculum vitae (PDF format only)
You will also be required to supply your:
* National Identification Number (NIN);
* A functioning e-mail address; and
* A GSM number.
This is a continuous process and has no deadline.
Note:
If the "Register" button in the body of the page is not working, you can click on the "Unemployed registration" link down the page.
Observation: Under the "Qualifications" drop down menu, there is no Higher National Diploma (HND) as part of the listed qualifications. I hope they will correct this soonest- if it is not intentional.

Federal Government To Start Registration Of Unemployed Persons Today

The Federal Government will commence the on-line registration of unemployed persons in the country today being Wednesday. According to the Deputy Director, Information & Public Relations, National Directorate of Employment (NDE), Edmund Onwuliri, the development is a part of the government quest to keep a robust data base for unemployed persons and provide jobs.

The registration, according to him, is in compliance with the third mandate of the NDE which requires it “to obtain and maintain a data bank on employment and vacancies in the country with a view to acting as a clearing house to link job seekers with vacancies in collaboration with other government agencies.”
Onwuliri said the framework for the on-line registration, being handled by the Directorate has been completed and ready for lunch; adding that the NDE has also completed the framework for the electronic registration of unemployed persons in Nigeria.

He said: “The on-line portal which goes live on Wednesday April 5, 2017, which is today, is designed to capture the relevant details of any unemployed person. It will equally serve as a job exchange portal that will link job seekers and employers.
“There will be a practical demonstration of the workings of the portal at the NDE stand at the on-going 28th edition of the Enugu International Trade on Thursday April 6, 2017. However, the portal can be accessed by logging on to www.jobsforall.ng. The Directorate sees this initiative as a bold step towards deepening the effectiveness of its employment creation strategies and a critical input into the process of designing, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes and schemes.”

The on-line portal will also serve as a meeting point for job seekers and employers thereby reducing the cumbersome process of recruitment among employers of skilled labour in the private and public sectors.
